your thumbnailer class is amazing! It does exactly what I was looking for and easy to implement due to your very clear instructions and examples

Just wondering if there was a way to tweak it to call a file through http:// at the front of the “filename=” as I need to be able to resize files from other sites dynamically. Every time I try i get the error – file not found.

About your thumbnailer class… I love it!: use it a lot on various sites.
I need help getting my mind wrapped around how I would use the script as part of a photo upload form: any pointers?

Also, I’ve noticed that the class seems to trow a lot of errors is there is non-standard exif data…
stuf like:

[error] PHP Warning: exif_read_data(0325.JPG) [exif_read_data]: Illegal IFD offset

I use a modified version of the thumbnail.inc that has the exif section commented out, since I don’t use this function. It happens when I use one of those quickie drop-a-folder-to-batch-resize utilities.

I’m no php guru by any means, just poking around, but would love to discuss this…

Good post. Perhaps it is time for me to clean a bit also. It has been a very hectic past year, and I have a bunch of junk posts on my blog also.

Congrats man! But, you spelled your new company’s name wrong! It’s not “ApAtana”…
